After a year of testing with a small part of an 860 crop aquaponics system designed by Vierhout Engineering, we entered an exponential learning curve. Trials and quite a bit of errors tested the level of patience and perseverance you need to have not only a balanced system but also a sustainable environment. Curacao imports tons of lettuce and chickory a year, a cold crop that is continuously under stress when it's absorbing the powerful sunlight and high temperature. We learned that it is possible with heat-resistant varieties to grow acceptable results. There is much more to be aware of and is sometimes beyond control.

On September 14th, 2021 HYBiZZ and Freight Farms signed an agreement for collaboration. Its result is a quite big private investment in the agri- and horticulture of Curacao in one of the best growing container possibilities.
Right now we are experiencing a major delay in international shipping induced by Covid regulations. We are looking at a not-calculated minimum 5 week transit time for shipment. Shipping, customs clearing, delivery, and installing the Greenery will take up to the end of April 2022. Growing the first cycle will leave us with an expected harvest end of May 2022.
